Hot Air Coal Stoker Stove: Alaska Channing II
Coal Size/Type: Rice

Post by DB_1973 » Wed. Feb. 18, 2015 9:57 pm

This is my second year using a Alaska channing II. This year I really figured out were to set it for temps I want. My question is my manual control for the feed carpet. It appears to be oem gear. Just curious if anyone has seen this before. I have not seen one like this in Any pics. It makes it nice to control feed. I have it set to 1 full turn from idle to full feed. Wide open gets me about an inch or maybe a little less of ash on burn grate. Lowest setting with feed and rheostat on low gets about four inches of ash on grate. Here is some pictures of the control unit.

Sorry you didn't get any replies, maybe ask a mod to move it over to Coal Stokers: Boilers, Furnaces and Stoves hopfully someone else will know.

Any idea when it was made? My guess one of the first alaska's maybe 1977? I pretty good with alaska paddle style but its before my time to coal burning with these stoves
