I am new to this forum and to coal stoves. I have figured out where all of the gaskets go except for the strong back gasket exact placement. Can anyone help? This should be an easy one.

There is a link to the manual, page 3 figure 1 part 14,,,,,,,,,,, part 17 are the grate channel gaskets.

Clean the area where the strong back goes real good then stick it on, take the channel gasket and fold over the feeder housing, part 2 figure 2.

Make sure to but it up tight, good and tight to the strong back, set grate in place gently the with a hammer and block of wood tap the grate up into the strong back. Then tap down onto the feeder housing, you'll be good

Thanks. I contacted Alaska and they sent me a completely different manual. This one has so much more information in it. If I had this I wouldn't have had as many questions.

Questions are what were all about, keep us updated on how she runs, some pics would be cool.

Glad that manual helped you out, its pretty much the same as I got with my stoves, can figure out what alaska sent you
