Thanks Vermont
Just trying to do this right on the first attempt, what you are saying makes sense and your daughter must be able to determine what is required considering the success with your install.
Just lay down enough to seal the gaps and the quality of the EFM reputation can handle the rest.
Thanks,
CS

Dunno if you got the clips you needed..........and I meant to mention this the other day but I screwed up and forgot............but General Motors used clips like that on cars. They were readily available at most auto parts stores ( IE Advance Auto, Napa, etc. ).

Thanks for the reply SD
I did get the clips thanks to one of the local Union Sheet Metal shops that are in my area.
They actually just asked me how many I needed and handed them to me no questions asked, I must have walked in on a day when things were going well.
Anyway I am getting to the point were I will be ready for tie in to my existing system, I just got a delivery of all my fittings and valve thanks to my daughter who works at the local hardware store.
I love keeping my money local when I can..
Take care SD

Keep us informed of your progress. I'm not a boiler man, but I'll help where I can.
Several others are following your thread also.
Take care, Don

Yes!!!!
Then you have set everything under it and lower.
Good thing I spent all that time practicing rigging trees when I was feeding my OWB.
It feels good to have the boiler set and in place, next step plumbing it.

Update on some progress, sometimes slower than expected.
Oh well, I will keep plugging away. A little every time I can.
Life has me very busy right now, my 2 youngest daughters have just graduated high school and my oldest daughter is headed to NC for college.
I guess this is the right time to start saving money with those black rocks.

Thanks for the feedback Rob,
I did follow EFM specs when cutting my bin auger tube
I guess I will just have to run it and see, I think I will wait to cut the auger I can always cut it, but welding it together is more involved.
Regards

Thanks WL,
I didn't mention they were twins I was waiting to see how long it took for someone to realize.
It is not hard to figure what is important when you have things like this going on.
Till next time.

Efm's current specs on the pipes disagrees with their historical recommendation for the amount of auger that is exposed to coal. It will run ok with rice, but not with buck. Been there, done that. The first time I tried burning buck with a lot of auger exposed it turned half of the buck back into rice.

Ok Rob I got it now,
i will be running rice for now being I am new to this coal burning thing.
I do like the idea of larger fuel during the colder months, like I said before I can always cut the auger.
i do really appreciate the feedback.
Best regards.
