Im fixing up a house to move into that had electric baseboard. Having installed a EFM 520 in my current house, I feel its the only way to go. I bought a 1992 DF 520 which is really nice to install in the new house. I've read about some issues using stainless with coal. Is that true? This might be my set up for the next 30-40 years so I want to do it right! Should I lay up a masonry chimney, or go with triple wall stainless?

Thats what I've heard, stainless is cool, but not for the long haul. The chimney I"m looking for will be exterior. I think thats the route I will be going. Thanks for the input. Any other advice I would greatly appreciate! Keith.

Putting up an exterior masonry chimney, see if you can get it as insulated as you can... I think they use vermiculite or some such thing...
