I myself would weld ,but the pot could be used like you have it ,with a good lining .You need to weld that D flange anyway and I would guess the back pipe needs at least a little weld. you have gone this far. Wilson

Hi all time for an update.
It's been a busy summer so far. Iv gotten a bunch of work done to the stove and I'm starting the reassemble from the base up I don't have a lot of pics bc I've been doing a lot of work in my shed and the iPad isn't always handy. but I'll post the most recent from last night. I'm at the point of re frosting the bricks and installing them in the pot the whole base is sealed up with Hercules furnace cement very messy, please not this is my first stove restore and my fisrst time useing the cement it got everywhere. Every part has been wire wheeled and a healthy coat of stove Polish has been applied.

I would not lay it on its side to transport. there are 6 screws to remove and It will come apart in 2 pieces.

We'll after grinding the slag off the bottom bricks wire brushing the bricks clean and another messy encounter with the bucket of furnace cement the pot is lined . Bit of a learning curve, I had to stick the bricks to the side of the pot elevated to were they sit. Then pound in the bricks tapered fit in with a dead blow and a 2x4............

Don't let the looks deceive u
When I first bought and inspected the stove I thought they all looked good and I didn't even wanna take um out of the pot but they all wiggled so I did and found a bunch of stress cracks in almost all of them. I had about 6 of the 14 bricks that cracked in half and had to be cemented back together.
only 1 of the brick was 100% solid one of my bricks was in 4 peaces. So it can be done just take ur time with removal. I didn't wanna reline with ceramic liner bc I'm cheap or have the bricks remade because I new the bricks wouldn't fit like the original .
