Powell, Schwartzkopf, MacArthur, Patton, Eisenhower, Marshall, Bradley, Nimitz , Halsey, Montgomery, Rommel, Zhukov...
Is it just me or do these names evoke a sense of power. Or is it the person behind the name..
Now those are pretty cool names, some may be borderline but if you had to chose one wouldn't want to have name like that. I'm not talking about being put down because of your ethnicity or the obvious problems you would encounter having a stupid name like Moonbeam Stardust either. Do you think your name can make difference in your success in life or increase your chances if it has a good ring too as opposed to Joe Smith? I'll give you another example, lets take a look at some of the top quarterback names of the mid 80's and early 90's
Dan Marino, Joe Montana, Phil Simms, John Elway, ...all great names and very successful. There's no "Joe smith" to add to that list.
While on the subject here's something I came across.
Fran Tarkenton’s regular season record is stunning. However, many dismiss his performance because of his inability to win any of the three Super Bowls in which he played. However, he held virtually all passing records at the time of his retirement. Additionally, he had great ability to run with the ball, chalking up over 3500 rushing yards and 32 touchdowns. He is fourth in the list of number of rushing yards.
Do you think maybe FRAN doesn't get the attention he deserves because of his name?
