The expansion tank and auto fill doesn't have to directly under the air scoop correct? I can pipe them away? I could move the air scoop over to the left more giving me more piping before and after the pump, if I could do something with my bypass also.

Pick up a sterling hot water heat exchanger today, 52,300 BTU's with a 800 cfm fan, should work perfectly in the garage!

The sterling water heater before and afters.
The lining inside the firebox didn't deal very well, and I found ash and coal packed behind and under it when I took it apart, so I figured I would try sealing it with some furnace cement, I will probably coat the whole liner also after this cures.

Justin..... . I didn't empty the coal bed or the ash tray until we took it back to the shop.hotblast1357 wrote:

Some of the coal and ash ended up in the combustion air chamber when we layer it on its side to get it up the stairs.
I have the original installation manual and it lists the coal capacity of the wc-90 at approximately 40 lbs of nut coal level with the bottom of the load door. That must be after you put in the 40 lbs of wood to start the fire. Text me your address and I'll send it up to you.

Haha ya I Paul you can definitely put more than 40 lbs in it, its probably just to cover there but, and I didn't like how the liners did not sit flush with the boiler walls so figured I'd seal them with this.

Well I ordered most of the stuff tonight, got the pex and pex fittings from Badgerinsulatedpipe and got my temp gauges, manifolds, and pump flanges from houseneeds. The rest of the stuff will be black iron fittings that I will just get from my lowes. And I still have to order the heat exchanger.

Well I just ordered all my black iron fittings from plumbingfittingsdirect, was about half the price of lowes, saved about 50 dollars.
