hahaha I bet man! I find myself using hot water for everything now lol just too feel it sometimes! I now get too play with ALL the adjustments I have with this system.

-aquastat settings right now are 170 with a 8 degree differentential.
-dump zone a-stat set at 185.
-boiler bypass is wide open right now too let gravity flow happen through boiler because I do not get many calls for heat right now.
-pump is on speed 2. (groundfos 15-58)
-each zone shut off is 100% open, I figured that with one pump feeding two heat exchangers I might get different return temps when running so I would think I might be making some adjustments to those shut offs once the cold sets in incase one heater is taking more
heat away than the other.
-combustion fan door flap, 1/4" open.

any suggestions?

Nice set up Partner!! Makes me look forward to getting a boiler :) You plan to run all thru the summers? Also, is that a coal cannon bucket I see in the pics? I have one like that. I can get 80 pounds on that sucker

Thanks man, I don't think I will be able to run all summer.. We'll see! I made that coal but too load with, it's just a 4 gallon pail so I can put about 35 in it.

well ive been lit since 9/26, 5 days, so far things are going good, everything is operating correctly. just learning all these new settings now! im glad too say that the electric hot water has NOT came on since ive been lit, which is a great thing. I've been at a steady 20 lbs per day burning for just domestic, but right now it is only 48 degrees outside so im sure tonight I will have some calls for heat in the house, and from hear on out because it looks like we wont get much over 60 anymore, ive been doing 24 hour tends, tending around 4:30 pm. The 6006A is set at 170 degree's with a 8 degree differential, and my 4006B is set at 190 degrees, combustion blower opening is at 1/4". boiler bypass is half way open. house is 74, t'stat set at 72 and garage is 68, t'stat is off.

Thanks for the update. You should be feeling a bit more comfortable by now ,knowing that your heating system is good to go. You are also probably impatiently waiting for cold weather to test the system even further ;) :)

Where do you get a pail like that, with a spout?

Setting the B, or reverse aquastat higher than the controlling aquastat should result in the circulator never running. It is the temperature at which the circulator shuts off to allow boiler temp. to catch up. It should be set lower, perhaps 150.

I believe he has the B operating a dump zone.

I would run the dump zone temperature up to about 205 to 210 degrees. That is, unless it is intended as a gravity dump zone, with no circulator.

Having no pex in my system, I can't answer that. But doesn't Pex have a rated limit of 200 degrees at some whoppingly high pressure that you will never come near? I'm thinking that it may be able to tolerate a bit more heat at lower pressures. ????
