TSC has bagged Kimmels (40 pound bags) for $5.99! Then if you pre-order now up till 7/27/2015 (then pick up on or before 10/1/2015), you get another $25 off per ton, making total cost $275/ton ...bagged! (or] $2.75/bag)
I'm in the Harrisburg area and this is the 1st year the Harrisburg TSC will have coal. I have burned Kimmels for several years then switched last year and it was terrible ...I highly recommend Kimmels.
sumth'in ain't right with dat math there.
Somehow, maybe they turned into 20 pound bags ?
At $5.99 a bag, that's a dollar more per bag than they were charging last year. A 20% increase. Oh well, the Kimmels was fun while it lasted.

Right now 22 ton from Summit is $150 a ton plus $13.50 a ton shipping for 90 miles away. Less then 22 ton is $160 picked up at the mine bulk.
Thanks again,
Glenn

I did a lot better last year my first year. I got Kimmels from TSC for 239 a ton. Still have close to 11/2 ton left over and about 1/2 ton of reading . Piss on TSC this year with their pay before you get BS.

$312.16 per ton of Blaschak....ho hum... delivered into my garage. Purchased from Mt Tom Energy/McKenny Electric in western Massachusetts.
Sadly, no bagged Lehigh is locally available
Too bad, as I'd pay $375 a ton for it too just to see if it's really all its supposed to be.

After checking several places and doing the math last nite 315 per ton doesn't seem too bad . I had good results with the Reading, and I also do other business with Hildenbrand supply. I think I am going to get the Reading nut bagged at 315.

Local folks selling in the sullivan county pa area are asking 220 a ton (which includes delivery) they are just like anywhere else the more ya buy in bulk the cheaper it is. Bummer I can only store up to 6 tons, cleanly anyway. Someday I will get some type of drop made to take at least a trailer load. Im not a big buy local pusher, I cant agree with some of the rediculous price hikes some locals do, but when its a fair price for the work and availability of they have I have no problem payin an extra dollar or 2.

Lehigh's driver dumped the 23.5 tons today. Good grief was that a big truck. Couldn't maneuver for anything, Only a 1/3 to 1/4 full by volume. Driver said he gets 5.7mpg or so, and with a full load barely less mpg. Interesting why a full load is marginally more than a half. $150 a ton plus delivery. Driver gets a P grade, Lehigh gets an A for easy all around transaction, coal was well sized, only noticed one piece that was even close to overlarge. Predictable wood bits in the coal, not any volume, but every brand bagged coal had it too. Wonder what the origin of the wood is in mining? If anything overall it seemed smaller compared to Reading. Interestingly I got a call from Reading (after chasing the sales guy for 2 weeks) with a similar quote and about 10% less shipping. Considered calling Lehigh to cancel the order, but they called about an hour later that the driver was on the way. (I was told it would be today or tomorrow) You snooze at sales, you loose a sale.
