I'm paying 325 a ton (maybe less) in Moosup Ct. I might could get it for a little less, but I encouraged a local small business to take a chance, and I'm gonna back em.

Placed my order with my local dealer for delivery later this summer. Early buy (now) will be $305 per ton (50x40# bags per pallet). I pre-paid for four pallets, so $1220. I burned about 240 bags each of these last two REALLY brutal winters here in 'da U.P. eh, so with the four I've bought and the six pallets I have stored outside (they are 60x40# bags per pallet - 2400#) I should be good to go for a couple years. Not sure why change from 60 bag pallets to 50, but, whatever. :D

Looks like it's gonna be $309 per ton this season.

Prices skyrocketed last year. Just 2 seasons back I paid $284 a ton.

If not taxes, it's damn heating costs. Praying for global warming to be TRUE!

Price "increase" to 320.00 a ton. Hopefully TSC gets it in cheaper. If not, and oil stays low will probably use oil next season.

Word on the street is TSC is getting their ducks in a row and will be better prepared. No news on their price yet, but if it's clean and uniform in size like last season under 3 hundred a ton I can't complain being in this part of the world.

I know your thread title asks only for price, but more info will certainly be more help to the fellow coal burners that come and read this. What else can reporting "prices only" benefit?

Help a Brother out! :)

Mine boss: "Hey! why do you use a 5 gallon bucket for your lunch...and why are your pockets full!"

FYI EVERYONE:

TSC has bagged Kimmels (40 pound bags) for $5.99! Then if you pre-order now up till 7/27/2015 (then pick up on or before 10/1/2015), you get another $25 off per ton, making total cost $275/ton ...bagged! (or $2.75/bag)

I'm in the Harrisburg area and this is the 1st year the Harrisburg TSC will have coal. I have burned Kimmels for several years then switched last year and it was terrible ...I highly recommend Kimmels.
