It's good to have Summer back ! Good Monday Greetings, everyone !
It was such a Good Season Opener at the Campground, that I'm forecasting many more Sunday night/Monday Morning visits to the Coffeehouse ! I must admit that they're threatening to provide Wi-Fi coverage, but we'll see. I actually enjoy the digital disconnect along with a Campfire ! Enjoy !

I always have a good time camping it's good family time, that dish calls for shrimp but none of us eat it so I substitute it with chicken. I love too cook and the only time I have to do it is when we camp plus the wife gets the weekend off so she like camping tooSWPaDon wrote:That looks really good, Keepaeyeonit. We had the same thing happen here back in '12 I believe it was. I ran outside from the barn after hearing what was a HUGE and LOW prop plane coming through. I couldn't believe what I was seeing!! Wasn't a B-29, but close enough for me - the B17 Super Fortress - and flanked on either side were 2 planes that I could not identify, and two P-51Mustangs in MINT condition! Was like a time warp! I had goosebumps from head to toe, and I almost cried. Ended up reading that a WWII vet was in the B-17 going for his final ride. What a sight that was!!!! Of course, by the time my junk cellphone reached picture mode and actually snapped a pic, they were behind the trees. I couldn't believe I missed that. It was all over in a matter of seconds. My yard is but a small gap at 150 mph.lowfog01 wrote:..........
Did you hear about the World War II Victory Capitol Flyover that happened yesterday? DK and our daughter went down to the National Mall and saw the whole thing. They got to talk to some WWII vets, too. I had to work but I while I was home between my morning bus runs and the afternoon runs, I was drawn to the backyard by the huge noise of prop planes. When I looked up, I realized our house was in the flight plan of the Flyover. It was awesome. It was something I'll never forget. The B-29 Superfortress is huge.
....... Take care, Lisa
