You already have this right. Although some would argue that open carry is a right and CC is not, I don't think so...both are a right.

You don't need a permission slip.

Nice to see they'll stop harassing people about it.

Maine is a toss up state....and I don't have to worry about my carry status due to my law enforcement status.

Do you seriously think a officer in say NJ would even consider that paper to have any meaning. I am for the 2nd in every state. Not just mine.

I'm glad to see this change. I always thought the concealed permit was just a money generator for the state.

Fred,
The term, "to bear" in that context means to carry on your person. So technically both concealed and open carry are covered by it without having to specify each individually. ;)

Congrats to you Down Easters.

Fred I see it as getting our rights back that were taken years ago. No offense but a lot of them during your generation. Any firearm law is infringing on the 2nd and my God given right to bear arms. We need to take em all back.

Then technically you could carry an M-60 with a full can of ammo or anything else around with you all day. Be careful what you wish for, there are a lot of loose cannons that can go off for little reason & they walk among us. ;)

I had a cc permit for many years here in Pa, but when it was time for renewal I let it go by the wayside. This year was the first time I got a letter from allegheny co. Sheriff telling me in was time for renewal. First off, I think I should be able to go to any county courthouse to apply. Not in Pa., you must go to county courthouse where you live. The last time, it cost me 17 bucks to park for an hour in Pittsburgh, the fee was 20 bucks for 5 years. This time, 20 bucks for 1 year., no checks, cash only. Since I don't agree that to carry a gun in Pa , that I give to sheriff's drinking fund. They can keep it. I already have the right, ill be damned if I need this BS. I keep a gun in my truck, and on person if I think I might need it, hope I never do. But if I have to shoot someone, I think that permit is worth less that the paper it is written on. If I have to shoot you on my property, no problem , I have a backhoe. Just saying :taz: :rambo3: :rambo2: :rambo2:
