Paul, then we gotta be about the same age. I was just reminiscing back about four decades & a lustrum trying to remember all the Saturday night westerns. I remember Gunsmoke, The rebel, Have gun will travel, "Paladin", Bonanza, Possible Daniel Boone with Fess parker, And there was one with Clint walker which Is beside me. God, it sucks getting old!!
Lets see what the rest of the other "OL timers " remember.

Same here. But I remember fondly the Watergate hearings, as the last time Congress did something more or less right.

You must have stayed home from school to watch Capt. Kangaroo and Mr. Green Jeans. I seem to remember they were on weekday mornings ? And Clint Walker was in Cheyenne. Those are a bit later than some of the ones I (and Fred :D ) remembered above - about the same time as Wells Fargo, Bonanza, and F Troop. What I call the "late western period" :D, when TV was starting to switch over more to variety and police shows.

The Mr. Ed Show,The Little Rascals,The Three Stooges,The Original Godzilla,The Giant Behemoth...All made before 1960.....

Caught the first runs of 12 O'Clock High,The Adams Family,The Munsters,Batman,Ultraman,Robert Goulet's "The Blue Light",Combat!,McHales Navy,The Beverly Hillbillies,Time Tunnel,The Man From U.N.C.L.E.,Get Smart,I Spy,Mission Impossible,The Invaders,FBI and of course,Dragnet

Cartoons like the Original Johny Quest,Bugs Bunny,The Roadrunner, and God knows what else...

I hear ya on all points shared ...my mom was dead set against my joining the military due to Vietnam. ...and she said there would be a war as soon as I joined the Navy. ..She was correct. ...I did 3 tours via ship during the first gulf war
