NY Governor Spitzer

Seems he has an "eye" for the ladies.

But he'll survive it because he got out in front of the story.

And because he wasn't the prosecutor who a couple years ago was busting people doing likewise.

Not gonna matter. Nobody's that mad at him now; to the contrary, he's on his "honeymoon". Plus, they're not gonna impeach the first black, legally blind gov and make Joe Bruno gov.

Indeed. Sorry, should have set out a little background.

When Spitzer first rode into Albany a year ago, one of the first things he did was to get into a big fight with Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno, a Republican fixture in dysfunctional Albany. And apparently Spitzer (illegally) "sic"-ed the golldarn State Police on Bruno in an effort to dig up dirt on him and bring him to his knees, so to speak. That blew up in Spitzer's face long before either the drivers license for illegals or Client # 9 things did.

The succession in Albany is Lt Gov becomes Gov, then Lt Gov remains vacant and next in line is the Senate Leader, which is Bruno. Nobody's gonna break any china to make that happen. In this crucial election year, Spitzer's story may be just the reprieve that the GOP has been praying for. But, if the they try impeachment, they'd be committing political suicide. Far better to let it go on and try to remind the voters of the "culture of immorality," or some such, this fall.
