Hey, Spitzer likes women! Whats wrong with that!

His only problem should be with his Wife!

When you make a name for yourself by putting criminals in jail, it doesn't look good when you find yourself involved with the same illegal activities. His wife, job and political future will both be lost IMHO.

Generally I can I agree. however I'll make an exception in a case like this where someone is saying one thing publicly for political motives and doing the complete opposite privately.

Im with BK, he should have to answer to his wife.(maybe on youtube) I don't think he should resign over it. Unless he used money he aquired from a government expense account or something like that. If that money was supposed to be used for official business then I think he owes me and every male in the state who may want a little "strange" 5 grand. Jim

Exactly. Live by the indictment, die by the indictment.

To quote Christopher Hitchens (on Real Time w/ Bill Maher, 2/29/07, obviously not referring to Spitzer personally):
Those who condemn things mightily and go on hammering the pulpit about them have a secret share in the desire for them. And that’s been true since before religion was invented....

Yeah, you hear some preacher thundering about faeggotry, and the next thing you know, he’s going to be found down on his lousy knees… You set your watch.
Like gool ol' Rudy, what was good for everybody else seems to have been something from which the office he held exempted him...

Ive Changed my mind! I just watched the news and now I don't want 5000 from the governor. I just want to see Spitzers wife( Shes really not even bad looking) kick him in the balls on youtube and I want to be able to buy 30 rd clips for my 10/22 again. Then he can stay as Governor. Jim

His problem isn't the wife or hooker, it's the money. The Feds were not running around looking for hookers to bust. The institution that held the accounts that paid the whorehouse bills, reported very suspicious transactions to the Feds. It looks to me like $4-5000 is well below the $10000 limit. They must have been some very strange bills or accounts to trigger that kind of scrutiny. They have more coming for him, the hooker is just the beginning. He is toast.

The sweetest thing here is, he insisted on the software that was installed that caught him. Isn't that poetic justice? :)

I agree that he's gotta resign. Not for what he did, unless public corruption was involved, but for the hypocricy.
(that said, I really wonder how the Justice Dept got involved in this, in the first place???)

That's interesting observation, I haven't read full story but wasn;t the hooker from the Washington Madame? I seen her on TV last year and she was saying she had a LOT of names. Might very well be the first casualty of many to come. :P

He had the hooker put on a train from NY to shag him while he was in DC on the states dime. He paid for the train ride, hotels, etc.

I think they were going after the prostitution ring for money laundering & his name came up when analyst were looking at the suspicious banking transactions. He's he's gotta resign because its a crime.

I happened to turn the TV on yesterday; and, Gov Spitzer was standing there with his wife. I'm thinking to myself, what in the heck are you doing on TV this afternoon? Then, the story started coming out.... What a f'ing idiot. Big job. Beautiful wife. Nice kids I'm sure. He didn't want to wear a condom?? What a f'ing idiot. The New York Republicans are gonna have a field day with this one. Gov Spitzer is gonna become Mr. Spitzer; and, his wife is gonna have him singing soprano while she's squeezing his nuts with a pair of Vise Grips... I thought he was an idiot when he was serious about giving NYS drivers licenses to illegal aliens. Guess he felt the need to prove to the whole world he's a f'ing idiot.
