I really do feel for you guys that are having problems with the coal orders from TSC. I wouldn't wish that kind of aggravation on anyone.

As a side note:
Temps are going to drop rapidly after this front goes through. Forecasted high at my place is 54 on Thursday, 53 on Friday and 57 on Saturday. People are going to need their coal very quickly.

I just want to point out one thing about TSC...you can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear! I love the fact that they are carrying coal and I saved a bundle last season but let's get real some stores are "Managed" better than others but most will agree they tend to hire the best of the best Walmart Greeters, take no offense anyone I have 2 friends that work at the TSC in my town and they tell me how idiotic the company is. I think coal and pellets are only a couple of the only things they sell that are made in the U.S.A. Can you imagine a mechanic or carpenter buying all their tools at Walmart? As stated many times last season, don't put all your eggs in one basket, I don't but I'll take advantage of a good thing like anyone else. Stay warm my friends.

My 4 ton's are in..got to go pick it up....Not much choice here in Northern NH..the locals rape ya... They live like kings as homes, etc. are cheap and they get above average prices for oil, cars, goods...they have a racket for sure.
I'm glad TSC has the coal cheaper.

Today I picked up two more of the tons of my order. Talked to the manager. He sounded like TSC, or at least his store, won't be stocking coal, but he can rain check it in at any time, so he says.

Both the Hamilton and Norwich, NY TS stores had full pallets of rice and nut right inside the front doors.

Well the Norwich store has ten bags less of nut now. I just picked up 10 bags and used the 10% coupon I got through email signup on their website. Came to $5.39 a bag, or $269.55 a ton.

Ok, so today I go to TCS to make my final layaway payment and ask I the Clerk when will the coal be in?
The guy tells me "we have 2 tons in the back for you" Great... That was a surprise!
Apparently when it comes in they set it aside with the customers name on it!

w/o coupon would have been ~ $300/ton? Not as good as last year if I recall and no different than many local suppliers of other mines I would imagine.

Dang it ! I'm going to grow my own coal....its just plant matter under tons or pressure, right? Where the heck is that mother-in-law?
