TSC in Stony Point NY just got 10 ton of Miners Choice Nut in. I picked up a ton for 300$. With my limited experience i think i prefer Kimmels. MC is packaged in plastic and seems very wet. MC also seems to be consistently smaller and contain a lot of fines. Next year Ill be building a bin and getting a bulk delivery.

I've burnt Kimmels, etc. This Miners Choice is great.. no fines... not to wet...just right.. I put it in a large tote next to the stove were it helps to dry some and leave a hod on top to dry for the next fill up.. I did this with Blaschak etc.
I bought 6 ton of Miners ....used over a ton already...running 24/7 since..Oct 1st.

Your TSC was selling Miners Choice that early in the year? Does the bag say Miners Choice on it?

Yes TSC in Stony Point NY just got a 10 ton delivery in Thursday. Basically a whole truck of coal. We waited about a month for it.

The bags are the nondescript plastic bags. I did however purchase a ton on a pallet which was wrapped and contained shipped invoices. The brand is Miners Choice the source is Reading. Pics attached.

Pics aren't sideways!

That will be great for people to know. 1 or 2 people got TSC coal that had 'reading' in small print on the bags.
For the most part, no one has a clue as to where the coal is coming from. Here is a thread that was started 'later in the season' for Tractor Supply coal:
TSC coal 2016/2017

Info about TSC coal for the 2016/2017 heating season is scattered through the forum in about 15 different places. Which makes it very hard for anyone to get information.

Their name (RMS) is likewise on previous slip shown above w/ Reading, Frackville, PA

Now, Who or what is "Kewill"? Might they 'broker' Columbian Coal? They are in India :o

Well, I did throw that out there once a while back, about the Columbian coal. Anything is possible.

The invoice Al showed, said Reading coal sold as Miners Choice.

Yes, the 'Reading' oval is darkened. What is Kewill?
