Happy 4th! BANG, BOOM, WHISTLE! I've only got one firecracker this year, but it's a biggie.... I lit the fuse 10 minutes ago & it should go off at 10 PM tonight. Stand back! HA!

OK.... come on in, have a coffee. Cold pizza? OK.

Give thanks for all our freedoms & have a great day. I'm either going for a Seadoo ride, or going to north camp. I'll figure that out in an hour when I call Diana. If we go north I'm taking the four wheeler & leaving it up there.

I'm finally caught up on work! The last two days I have spent around the house doing stuff that needs doing.... Speaking of needs doing, sister in law Carla just came in.... cribbage time!

I hope you all have a smooth & joyful weekend. Hug your loved ones!

Mornin all. Happy 4th. Coffee for me this rainy AM here on the hill. Enjoy whatever you do Freddy. :) Final surgery (I hope) come Mon. Other then that I got nothing. All pre surgery tests look good. A good contemplative day. Be safe people & enjoy the week-end.

Lots of booming and banging went on around here last night as various towns near me put on their fireworks displays. Terrified one of our cats, and the other cat is still nowhere to be found. More to come tonight. Your tax dollars at work, doing sensible things like blowing up money. Time for coffee #2.

Morning all from the soggy South. Good Lord! I spent a month freezing in Maine and come back to one thunderstorm after another with monsoon rains. Hope it holds off today for a round of golf and a private fireworks show this evening at a friends house.
Brother gave me a break barrel Remington air rifle that needed fixing. Got that done and hung up a squirrel bait, errr, bird feeder, and am going to reduce the local rat population. Impossible to feed the birds down here as there are literally millions of gray squirrels. SO, while the wifey had to go to work, I will be hunting..... 8-)
Enjoy the holiday everyone.

Kevin

A nice sunrise pic from Big Prairie, Ohio, our plans changed so we are spending the 4th in the state and will be heading out Monday morning for DC , we just have to go with the flow and It will all work out!
The temp gauge never moved off of normal with the trailer on but the real test of the new radiator will be some of the hills on the trip to DC, the old Ford looks like a block of Swiss cheese but boy does it run I just hope my next truck is half as good as this one is!
The campground is having a fireworks show tonight and from what I have heard Its going too be a good one, but all in all Its been a good week and I hope its been good for everyone else too :) .
Good luck on your surgery Freetown, were rooting for ya!
Take care be thankful and enjoy the rest of your stay! :D Keepaeyeonit

Good morning. Not much for news here. House is still for sale, EFM is still burning, string trimmer is dead, kids and dogs are noisy as ever, and the beer is still ice cold. Should average out to be a good day. 8-)

Raining here,mid-60's * forecast high today, wife & our oldest son went to Maryland to spend the day with our other 3 children. That leaves me alone here today with our cats,i will try to get a bunch of shop work done. We are currently at a 4 week backlog with shop work,it has been a never ending demand of repairing equipment that is getting used hard this yr with all the rain & the grass growing so fast every week. Kinda hoping that most folks are in a holiday mood today, which will mean less interruptions for me.We had a few nites in June that called for some heat from the EFM,looks like today/tonite may call for some heat with lows forecast in mid-50's. Hard to believe that this yr is over 1/2 way gone  2 months to go till we start seeing more consistent heat calls again. This has been a very busy summer in our shop & garden.Lots of booming & banging last nite,i was too tired to walk outside to where I would have been able to see the booming flashing,i just sat in the house saving up some energy for today, hopefully . Enjoy your freedoms this day & the next & pray that our freedom may continue.Time to put the scrambled eggs to work & see how many mowers I can get done today.

Morning all,

We've got rain here, too. It looks like it will stop in time for the Nats game before resuming with Natural fireworks this afternoon. Hopefully, those storms will clear out in time for the National Fireworks on the Mall this evening. We'll be heading down to Pentagon for that around 6. Parking there gives us a good view but keeps us on the the right side of the river. We'll be back on the interstate after the show before the first car leaves DC.

I hope everyone has a great Holiday. FFred my thoughts and prayers are with you, Take care, Lisa

Morning everyone, or should I say good afternoon? Raining out to beat the band. A lot of booming last night but the rain will put a damper on it tonight. Looks like it's a day for cleaning out the garage. It's been getting a bit crowded with all the boilers and now a couple baseburners. Wish every one a Great July 4th !!!
