Whats the Best Coal Chute?

Coal Size/Type: Lehigh anthracite pea
Other Heating: air source heat pump, oil furnace

Ok ya he's not a "professional".. Just a nice guy that offers it at a fair price to a select people so I have no problem working with him. He said his chute is 7 or 8 inches wide so I can just neck it down to say 5 inch?

If you tip the chute a little and run it slow the coal will all move to the one side of the chute.

Ok, I'm also thinking that with a pipe the pressure of the coal will help it slide also.. A flat chute can run over the edges, a pipe it cannot.
