Picked up a can of this to try. Applied some on the 4 cam followers on AA-130 reciprocating ashing grate. Can see a lot of other uses on and around coal stokers and the like.

No oily residue to attract abrasive dusts and also uneffected by very high temps and extreme pressures. Sounded like a winning combination to me, thought I'd pass the info along to all the members here. :)

Stoker Coal Boiler: Gentleman Janitor GJ-5, Van Wert VA-600, Axeman Anderson130 X3.
Hand Fed Coal Furnace: Harman SF3500 reduced down to 3 grates connected to its own plenum
Coal Size/Type: Rice, Chestnut and whatever will fit through the door on the Harman
Other Heating: Noth'in but COAL! Well, Maybe a little tiny bit of wood

That's good to know McGiever. I use there penetrating lube on everything, realy good stuff. The can is a bit deciving, it looks like a realy bad advertisement, but the stuff works better than anything else I've used over the past 35 years.

Will have to look for it. Graphite is the best for slow moving high pressure.

It also should be a great lube for all your outside door locks, say like around vehicles and all other keyed locks. Propellent evaporates and leaves behind the very fine graphite powder as a dry lubicating coating. :idea:

Smaller can, but same type labeling print as on their penetrating spray.

High quality chain lubes are similar...moly with a solvent/light oil carrier that evaporates.
