Barack Hussein Obama "A closer look"

You guys on the left should just :stfu: about BHO & Uncle Jeremiah. Do yourselves a favor when the subject comes up; say this, “NO COMMENT". When you try to defend the un-defendable you look foolish. And if this happened to John McCain he would have had to drop out of the race. Look what the MSM did to Mitt Romney just for being a Mormon. Happy Easter.

Only problem I see here is that Obama chose to stay in that church.

If I was attending a church where the Minister's sermons were along the lines of what we have heard from Rev. Wright I certainly would consider leaving. It doesn't take much thought to realize what he is saying, even shrouded under the guise of a religious sermon.

The fact that Obama stayed leaves me with a lot of questions.

A stupid remark from a man who claims to be religeous but is really just full of hate towards his fellow man! I promise not to vote for Rev. Wright........He isn't running! (I'll gaurantee you that John McCain sat through many pilot's Ready Room sessions in which anti-black, anti-semetic, etc remarks were made & I'll bet that he never jumped over the side when he heard them either) Issues are what's important this time.........not spin!

Two interesting tidbits regarding this issue. Chris Wallace of Fox News blasted his network and Sheppard Smith for two hours of Obama bashing over the "typical white person" remark. I wasn't offended by it. I've heard others say well if someone else said typcial black person, then there would be hell to pay. That may be true but don't you think that it would be wrong? There is entirely too much sensitivity to racial remarks, especially by black people. For white people to develop the same thin skin doesn't make it right. By the way for you entrepuneurs, theres an opportuniy waiting...Typcial White Person T shirts.

tidbit two. Oprah Winfrey attended this church and left. I don't know if she left because of Wrights rhetoric or not. just heard that yesterday. That Obama didn't leave was a mistake on his part.

I agree...but on the other side, When you are in the military, you don't have a choice to dissent unless you believe war crimes are being committed.

I agree with you John in that Obama's staying in that church left questions. I feel, however, that he answered those questions in his speech when he denounced Rev. Wright's words but went on to explain that Rev. Wright , an ex-US Marine may I add, grew up in a much different world & that he had become a part of Obama's life. He then went on to try to explain (his Grandmother's analogy) that we all have people in our lives that we don't always agree with what they say, at any given moment, but we don't throw them away if we disagree with them.
I accept him at his word & suggest to others to do the same thing. The media just loves to keep playing Rev. Wrights inflamatory rants because it's great drama to keep you tuned into their ads..... But they are Wright's words.......not Obama's!

You certainly have the right to dissent from what your fellow avaitors are saying, that was my point. We are responsible for what we say ourselves, not for what others say unless it can be established that we agreed with what was said. I agree that it was a political mistake for Obama to stay in that church....but......it is also refreshing in that it shows that he hasnt lived his whole life planning to run for the Presidency & made all his decisions based on how they'll look when he is a candidate! (Hillary Clinton, who has been running for President since probably the 2nd grade, would undoubtedly throw her Mother under the bus if that would make her look more Presidential!()

No doubt about that. The Clintons would and HAVE thrown everyone under the bus that they can no longer USE. Ferraro comes to mind recently but there is a long, long list. FYI, I don't hold Obama responsible for the REV's words. Just think he should have distanced himself sooner before the poop hit the fan.

Agreed! Obama is merely guilty of a tactical political error, nothing more, imo.

BHO staying in that church shows he is a typical politician who wants to hold the poor black vote. He can attend (for 20 years) any church he wants to but don't expect to become President when it's pastor is a “racist bigot”.

"To equate what I said with what this (Rev. Jeremiah Wright) racist bigot has said from the pulpit is unbelievable," -Geraldine Ferraro.

Agreed.

Fox News just reported that a McCain staffer was fired for releasing the Wright sermon. Maybe Billary wasn't behind it after all.

Is that what it shows??? your opinions are not fact....they are your opinions.
Personaly, I choose to accept the man (Obama) at his word rather than the spin from his political enemies.
On what "evidence" do you discount Obama's explanations as lies? (pleasde do not respond with a link or video clip.....I want your explanation.......Not Sean Hannity's or Rush Limbaugh's)

When interviewed before the great speech he said he had no knowledge of the inflammatory sermons but in the speech he said he did. The majority of people pick their church because of the pastor. I’ll take him at his word, but as you would put it, its not logical, he should have left the church. PERIOD. Would you let your grandchildren sit through one of those sermons?
