CRA was meant to encourage banks to make loans to high-risk borrowers, often minorities living in unstable neighborhoods. That has provided an opening to radical groups like ACORN (the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) to abuse the law by forcing banks to make hundreds of millions of dollars in "subprime" loans to often uncreditworthy poor and minority customers.

Any bank that wants to expand or merge with another has to show it has complied with CRA - and approval can be held up by complaints filed by groups like ACORN.

In fact, intimidation tactics, public charges of racism and threats to use CRA to block business expansion have enabled ACORN to extract hundreds of millions of dollars in loans and contributions from America's financial institutions.

Banks already overexposed by these shaky loans were pushed still further in the wrong direction when government-sponsored Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac began buying up their bad loans and offering them for sale on world markets.

Fannie and Freddie acted in response to Clinton administration pressure to boost homeownership rates among minorities and the poor. However compassionate the motive, the result of this systematic disregard for normal credit standards has been financial disaster.

ONE key pioneer of ACORN's subprime-loan shakedown racket was Madeline Talbott - an activist with extensive ties to Barack Obama. She was also in on the ground floor of the disastrous turn in Fannie Mae's mortgage policies."

The new "Obama Youth" knife will be "de rigueur" for all correct thinking children. Every responsible progressive parent will want to purchase several of these for their precious offspring. Your child need to be able to protect themselves from Conservatives (spit) who dare express their wrong-thinking ways! Your child is not big enough and batsheet enough to able to shout down wrong-thinking viewpoints, and at that tender age they are vulnerable to thoughts and concepts which could damage their brains permanently.

This was standard operating procedure and any efforts to curtail irresponsible lending practices were cause to have you be labeled RACIST! Oh I know, racial inequity is a Republican thing, how dare anyone need a...GASP..Job, or a good credit rating, you deserve a $250,000/400,000 house eventhough ypu could never afford it and daggumit your gonna keep that house. Of course they'll keep that house, because hard working people are going to have to foot the bill with higher taxes to pay for it.

What you ask? Barry "O" says that %95 of taxpayers are going to get a tax break ( hint only %60 of people in the USA actually pay taxes ) So employers, like Mom and Pop Pizza joints are gonna help foot the bill and in turn not hire the kid down the street, Wallyworld, Staples etc, will just cut back like Lowes and Home Depot and put in Electonic cashiers. Where in the HELL did Barry come up with %95 of tax payers? Dammit, I pay way to close to 1/2 my income now, why should we be penalized for hard work?

The media would be all over McCain if this was the other way around, especially with all these "old friends" of Obamas like Bill Ayers and Luo Raila Odinga of Kenya and Reverand Wright. You don't spend 20 years listening to someone sermons then say you had no idea what was going on there, the guy baptised his kids and married him ! That would be like McCain being in the KKK, then saying he had no idea they were against blacks !!
