I was listening to Rush during this segment, although sometimes I feel what he is talking about may be "embellished" for entertainment's sake I tend to believe this. In the transcript the comments by Obama's preacher are written word, on the actual show they were sound bites. I find it hard to fathom that Rush would use another person's voice to present sound bites that are supposed to be Obama's minister and have him say these things purposely so that they fit into Rush Limbaugh's agenda.

It actually sounded like some of the absurd preacher sound bites that I hear on the Stern show (something else to aggravate everyone else, I am a faithful listener since '86, followed him to Sirius).

I know Rush was addicted to Oxy and probably used some less then honest means to aquire it, but this is the first time I have heard it mentioned that his is or was a drug dealer.

If I understand you correctly I would venture to guess that all this from Rush has been carefully scripted and all the sound bites carefully produced to make Obama look bad and promote the Republican agenda and candidate---am I correct?

John I can't really answer your question as I don't ever listen to Rush Limbaugh. (Not because I disagree with his politics....I listen mainly to talk shows that come from the right (Howie Carr in Boston & Neal Borks(sp) to name a few) but because I find him boring) There is more to the Rush Limbaugh drug story than you are aware of & he should certainly not be held up as a role model or voice of truth.......He is scum!

I do not listen to Rush as faithfully as I used to, mainly because of the whole drug thing. I also find that sometimes he seems a little full of himself.
I am on the road a lot, the past few years I have wandered away from listening to serious talk radio, it gets a little tedious and I tire of the endless droning at times.

You know who has a good, right wing, talk radio show.?.......G. Gordon Liddy! He's crazy as a loon about some things but he is very well spoken, always allows callers who disagree with him plenty of time & never cuts them off & is a very interesting & intelligent man. I totaly disagree with his politics of course, but have great respect for him. (his radio show is no longer available in the Boston Market, that I know of. )
Speaking of talk radio, I used to listen to O'reilly(sp) on Fox until I realized that his shows are really just informercials to sells his books, shows & anythimng else he's selling that day! (I think he pushes a combination potato peeler/skate key/apple corer if I'm not mistaken!......Oops, sorry....That was "The Chef of the Future!")
