National Media Biased?

Journalism it ain't, though; oughta be compared to "American Idol" or, maybe more appropriately, "Desperate Housewives."

No, it doesn't. It proves only that more people watch FNC in a given time-slot than watch any individual other cable news network in the same timeslot. It probably also proves that FNC has more total viewers of their evening and night time shows than any individual other cable news network. This list has no broadcast network news and no morning shows on either cable or broadcast news. Broadcast networks still draw relatively large audiences (though the viewership has been steadily declining for decades now) compared to cable and even the popular FNC. If you combine the broadcast network news shows viewerships they still far outrun FNC, both in single timeslot and in combined viewership.

Oh yeah, you mean the ones who teach them to actually ask questions and check sources? Roger Ailes and Lee Atwater would never let that kind of "quaint journalism" stand in the way of a good red-meat story.

ABC World News Tonight" averaged 7.3 million viewers.
NBC Nightly News" had 7.2 million viewers.
CBS Evening News" averaged 6.5 million viewers.

Conservative views are available on the national mass medai 24/7....So where's the beef? (even on the "Liberal" media there are plenty of conservative viewson every show....ie Pat Buchannon on MSNBC) If this is true.." proves that FNC has more total viewers of their evening and night time shows than any individual other cable news network."
What is the problem? (do we need to count up & have a n equal number of networks/Viewpoints?....Is that how you make it fair?) Doesn't Talk Radio (almost exclusivel conservative) count for "Media?"

I never ran the #'s on cable/satellite subscribers but thats the only place you can watch fox news. And the fox news report on cable that does go up against the big 3 starts at 6PM which cuts into local news. I think if the fox network had news that went head to head against the other 3 they would eventuality do well but they would need a decent local news program in the 6PM slot.
