I didn't forget it....but I decided to not. I know it would have been nice, but .....I'm trying to keep property taxes down! It'll be OK. Besides, I have a whole bunch of baseboard heat in stock. I gotta use it someplace. This is the place.

I did try to get my help wound up though. Just as we finished screeding the concrete I asked "When do we put in the Pex tubing?"

'Twas Time for a "Summer Stop-In" for coffee ! Man,has this Summer finally kicked-in for us in N.E. & N.W. Ohio ! We actually experience flooding awhile back on Sandusky Bay ! It's been a long time since I've seen water levels this consistently high....Maybe 1971-73 as it comes to memory ! With vacations being over, the weekends have taken over as the Prime-Time Event out there.

Finally picked the Daughters up a Boat. It's an older,Seaworthy Wellcraft 196 Cuddy Cabin. My longstanding Buddy and I picked it up very, very reasonably. A little sweat equity, and "Whallah !",Watercraft on the go. I remembered two things: 1.) BOAT- It stands for:"Bust Out Another Thousand",and,if you want to destroy a damned fine Friendship(I've known him since I was 13),go into a Boat Partnership ! I'm not seeing troubles with either premise, and the Girls were long overdue for something of their own. On a Tough Note,we lost the Beloved Owner of our park....Mr. Raymond G. Roth left us at a very experienced 93 yrs of age. He was literally a Grand Gentleman, and his Funeral Service touched me so profoundly that I'll remember it as a True Celebration of the 'Ol Boy's Life ! Sail On In Peace,Raymond....It'll be a privilege to Crew for You when We meet again !

Hi,

The reunion is over and everyone has gone their own way for another 5 years. It was fun. As always there was a ton of food and good times. I heard that 150 people representing 15 lines of the Cavalier/Grantham family wandered through the party during the day - lots of people. One guy came who's only previous claim to the family was his last name - he works with one of the aunts. DK found the common ancestor in his genealogy files. That was kind of cool.

DK, our son and I are heading home in the morning. I'm not looking forward to drive but it is what it is. I hope everyone has a great week. Take care, Lisa

Oh man what I wouldn't do to be down there right now. What a beautiful place! And that KEG of jambalaya! YUM!! My accent is a bit of culture shock to the folks down there though - they will look at me like I just came down from space when ever I talk ... :funny: That's some crazy HOT HUMID air though! Not sure I'd want to be doing any physical labor outdoors down there. My wife would probably still sleep wrapped in her down comforter .... :D

Glad to hear your on the mend Fred!! SWEEEEEEEET!! :punk:

Rob that car is nice!! Is it street legal? Amazing how the prices of even those year vehicles have gone to the stratosphere. Even my Grand Marquis has suddenly become valuable! When I bought it, they were a dime a dozen!

My buddy's got a '85 T/A. Bought it after seeing an ad in the paper - you will NOT believe what he paid for it. $200!!!! Thing is mechanically PERFECT!! Has Hotchkiss suspension, Flowmaster exhaust, Superchips chip - was owned by a GM tech from what the previous owners mom told him. The thing was sitting there with no keys, and needed to be gone NOW - lady was adamant that he pick it up immediately. He threw out $200 as a price and she accepted!! That kid must be livid. He paid $50 for a tow, and $100 for a complete set of keys. Thing fired right up, and chirped the tires in second!! Unreal!! Interior is a little ratty - I suspect those T-tops leaked at some point. Anyway, he came up the other day with it, and I got the A/C working again on R-12. He's a happy camper. Thing was appraised for $6k!!!!

It would be with an exhaust system, right now it just has short header extensions. I used to have a Flowmaster system for it, but the y-pipe and mid pipe was designed for a stock engine and pretty restrictive. After moving the parts from barn to barn a few times I finally tossed them when we made a big scrap haul. Now I would like to sell the car and wish I still had the system to go with it. Oh well. All the lights and horn work perfectly, I had it on the road in 2006. It will melt street tires as long as you want to keep your foot on the gas. :D One thing that I now regret is installing the 8 qt oil pan. It was fantastic for drag racing, but the limited clearance can be an issue on the street if you aren't careful. It isn't a huge job to pull the engine on this car and put a different pan on it...too bad the stock oil pan went on the same ride as the exhaust system.
