This past winter was my first with the 50-93. I was cleaning it out last weekend and found one of the long fire bricks in the front of the stove is broken into 4 pieces. Should I replace it ?

The pieces fit tightly together.

firebricks are soooo cheap .... OP, what is cost of new one?

I'm always replacing cracked bricks .. they are like pez, cheap enough to not worry about them. I find other uses for the ones I remove.

ODM, TSC has them for next to nothing. Probably cheaper then furnace cement. I'd replace--the front bricks catch to much ash, lil chunks, etc.

Thanks all.
I do have a Tractor Supply a couple miles from me, I'll hit there tomorrow and see if they have the correct size.

Thanks again

The thin ones are called splits, about $2 at the brickyard. Best to change them, if they continue to break up a chunk of brick in your grate will ruin your day and maybe your grate.
