Whistlenut passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from a heart attack. We wanted to let you know what happened and why he suddenly disappeared/no longer responds to your messages. He spoke of his buddies from the forum often. We know he learned a lot from you and hope he was able to help you in your endeavors or give you a few laughs in his exchanges here.

Damn, I'm thinkin Doug was the only other 70 yr old on here. We did some reminiscing over the years & he spoke of his family often. RIP ya old grump. Off to Laconia in the sky. Correction, I thought Doug was my age but on checking his obit.--he was only 67--the Creator's funny about all that stuff. Again, RIP my friend.

I first talked to Doug about 5 years ago. We emailed back and forth quite a bit and spoke on the phone at least once or twice per month. A few years ago on a trip to Nashua I stopped in Andover and had a visit with him at the shop for a few hours. He was full of information and laughs, I will sure miss talking to him. RIP.
