Please come in & join us. Even though the sun is shining, it's a dark day on the forum. Our long time friend Whistlenut (Douglas Lee Gay) has passed away. We will leave the honorary stool empty today in his memory. He will be sorely missed in the coal burning world. Bless you Doug, may you rest in peace.

Terrible news about Doug. I was in North Conway that day and had considered looking up some board members but the schedule was too tight.

I will think of him when I hear that train whistle from the North Conway train from now on....

Terrible news indeed. I'm usually on the phone with him every Saturday for an hour or so scheming. It always was a good part of the week.

I just got the news about Doug. What a sad way to start a weekend. I wish I lived closer so I could have attended the service.

Today marks the end of the beautiful spring weather we've been enjoying. I've been able to get started on the weeding I wasn't able to get to before now due to my foot. I have 8 weeks of weeds to get to. Fortunately, they do not have deep roots and come up quite easily. I'm still taking it easy so it will take a while to get to them all. I'll do it the same way you eat an elephant.

Well, have a great weekend, hug your loved ones. Lisa
