Be patient, all comes to those that wait. No sign of a bottom yet and COT (Commitment Of Traders) is STILL negative. Remember Flyer5 said buy now and that is a strong sell signal. :D

so if I'm a coal dealer what incentive is there to stock up on dozens of coal pallets and front the money for it? Does this suggest coal will be in short supply or am I missing something here ?

I'm still with coal, the oil's cost savings is small compared to the luxury of warmth that my old decrepit body now enjoys until I'm forced into a permanent dirt nap at 52 F.

Dropped nine cents here today, now at $1.899 in my area. Gasoline dropped about fifteen cents today.
One dealer is at $1.599 in southern Maine, approaching CN's prediction of $1.50.

OK, we are only 9c off, perhaps it's time to fill up. Never try to get the absolute bottom of a market (pigs get slaughtered). Nice savings were had by waiting. I will now search for my best deal, good luck to all. You never get hurt by banking a profit. It will be interesting to see where the real bottom is, however, Sept is just about here and they may be getting supply/demand under control but I am still suspicious. There is an ocean of oil but refining capacity is nearing the ceiling. That was fun.

$1.69 Not bad for NJ and PA.

Oil would have to be 100% domestic and no subsidies for me to switch no matter what the price.

At 2.40 a gallon it is a break even for me. Anything less than that the stove stays off. I am not rich enough to burn what is the more expensive fuel. If just need to take the chill off will burn a little wood as that is the cheapest by far.
