Couple of things... A Harman Mark III will in fact stop a 30,06 ball round if fired from front to back. It pushes out the back of the air jacket but it does not go through. Now if you shot through an open door then I would assume it will probably go through but it did not go all the way when fired into the front steel of the stove. It also stopped 5.56, 7.62x51, 7.62x54, 7.62x39 and all handgun calibers that we tried that day (.357mag was the largest). All rounds were FMJ and the 5.56 was 55 gr so no SS109 but in this case I don't think that would have made any difference. So...
