You may connect your smartphone to your WiFi and save the minutes otherwise used off your plan...great especially for high bandwidth items like video streaming and such.

Yes McGiever that's what is being done now, for the past 2 years we have streamed our I pad and what not off the hotspots of our iPhones, now we have wifi and it is just amazing lol I was glad also to do the software updates on everything also. I am canceling my directv this week and will just watch everything off from Netflix or something from the ps3.

Smart move. Get an over-the-air antenna if you want to watch the major networks. We get excellent reception in all weather with a small antenna called "EZ-HD".

I get zero stations (except for QVC or some other home shopping channels) over the air and even tried signal boosters.

I'd love to drop my cable...in a heartbeat.
