My opinion: CN-Don't show the misses this one. I don't think this is a big enough machine to do the job of hauling manure out through the snow. Nice toy to play with, if the cab is heated. The town I live in has one with a snow blower, to clear the sidewalks in town. I think a Bobcat, with tracks, will have a better shot at moving manure, and whatever....(coal maybe)!
If you have a bobcat dealer nearby, maybe you could rent one for a day and try it out. Good luck!
Cheers

If you have a water hazard, maybe this thing would be more appropriate. It might make the wife more prone to your first choice. :)

Sadly your solution is about 10x what I can afford. Nice try however.

The sooner you get rid of the horses the sooner you will be able to afford the equipment.

CN,
I thought you already owned a skidsteer,(bobcat cousin). Didn't you post pics of unloading a tractor trailer of coal with one. Must have been another member. Sorry about that.
Cheers

Could you get approval from management for a pick-up? - http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2014/1/23/Ken-Block-s ... t-7718246/

At the risk of being ridiculed for not understanding the underlying issues....... What about hooking up the horses and make them do it :verycool:

Uhhh, I think the underlying issue is that he wants the equipment, and I suspect neither the horses nor the OP would ever be up for doing that kind of work as a team, let alone in the dead of winter.

The trouble is the wifes horses are too busy getting massages, acupuncture, magnetic blankets, special foot treatments, special warmed baths, endless brushing, farrier attentions etc.etc. etc. Sometimes they even get ridden.

Maybe a nice shotgun or rifle to take care of those horses that leave their movements all over your land. All horses that enter my property meet a quick and painless demise.
