Hi everyone,
The weekend started early for me with a trip to the semi-annual children's clothing consignment sale held by a local church. We scored big for both our grandchildren while spending very little.

DK and I were out the door early yesterday so we didn't have to mess with the I-95 south traffic on our way to Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. We try to visit Busch Gardens during their "Howl O' Scream." It's always a good time and yesterday was no different. The whole park becomes a spook house at 6 pm with the crew dressing up and actively trying to scare the bejebburs out of you. We had the pleasure of being behind two young women who were spook magnets - why scare the old folks when there are two young woman sure to provide a better, i.e. louder scream, response. It was great.

The weather was perfect for Busch Gardens; long sleeves during the day and a light jacket at night. However, we had a significant drop in the temperature and a freeze warning overnight. I took time to close up the bee hives but they will be flying again this week when we get temps in the mid 70s and lows around 50. I'll spend the week getting the stoves ready for a 1st of November install date. That's the goal anyway.

Hey what ca' know - the Cubbies made the post season. Who'd have thunk it? Does anyone remember in the movie "Back to the Future 3" they predicted that in 2015 (the year they went to) the Cubs won the World Series? :D Personally, I'm just hoping for some good games.

Hello Everyone,
Been a another busy w/e. Went back to the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary today and saw about 100 migrating hawks, a few falcons but no eagles today. However, I did get this pic last week. He was very high. Amazing how the bald eagle never flaps a wing. It just soars through the wind.

NICE Cap! Thanks for your service, Col. Wilson!

Funny, I was just watching a bunch of older space shuttle videos the other day, angry at myself for not having gone and watch a launch when the program was active all those years. Great close up pic of Discovery there!! Love how it has all the re-entry marks on the tiles there - glad they didn't shine it all up for the museum. 8-)

I'm gonna have to go see that some day!
