just bored a 4 1/2 hole in my concrete basement wall for the 4 inch exhaust and was looking for info on what to fill in around the pipe in the wall ,I thought of using grout but my friend that bored the hole said he would use high temp silicon , I know silicon wont dry thoroughly if to thick , just looking for some input ?

Furnace cement would be fine.
