Hi all......I was given this old stove and I'm unable to find out anything about it. It had a bit of surface rust on it so I wirebrushed it, slapped a coat of paint on it, replaced the door gasket, and now it works and looks great! The toploader lid has "Faber, Voorwarden Holland" stamped on it, but after contacting the Faber Company (which appears to make only woodburners now), they say that their records don't go back far enough to help me identify or get a date of manufacture for it! It's also a 2 piece stove.....the piece with the door on it sits atop the piece with the vents on it.

Any antique European coalburner gurus out there that can assist?? :help: Thanks in advance!!!

I wish I could help but have never seen a stove exactly like that one. It sure is an attractive stove and easy to remember, so someone on here may be able to help. good luck. Mike

Welcome. Great looking stove.

Not surprising that the manufacturer doesn't know about it. A lot of factory records were destroyed during WWII.

Me Neither. Welcome to "Coal Country", and take those trees out of that thing, and get some black rocks!
Your titles asks "How old am I?" If you're talking about yourself, I won't be able to guess, until I see your reaction to the tree comment. If you convert your stove to black coal, then I'll guess you to be older and wiser. If you continue polluting that thing with wood, then I'll have to say the opposite is true. :D

Guess you hate to see those wood fires I burn in the 6 huh? ;) .

Wood has its place as does coal IMO ! And don't mention that to Wilson because he burns a lot of wood :P .
