Hi my question is I now have my new Alaska Kodiak coal stove which has fire brick inside something my old Efel did not have. I was checking out the new stove and noticed one of the fire brick in the back has a wedge shaped gap from the brick next to it. All the other bricks are touching each other is this going to be a problem? Is this something I can fix myself? I tried to move it but they have this black sealant running along the top of the brick where it meets the stove so it would not budge. I have been reading some of the other post here wish I had done that earlier I would have left the stove outside to cure it. This is going to be smelly good thing I have not put the window kits on yet!
Sincerely,
Freespirit

Any gaps should fill in fairly quickly with ash. It shouldn't be a problem.
