Boy is this a great forum, I also have been a wood burner for 30 years. I had no idea of the coal consumption for personal use popularity.
I have received a gift from my folks, A new stove. My research on the Web has led me to believe it's a coal stove. The grate inside has a shaker tray.
Does anyone know the make of this stove?
Casted on the top. "No 14

Welcome to the forum. I researched a bit about Columbus Iron works and found the following history about the company. Your stove could be any age from 1920's to the 1950's.

http://www.conventiontradecenter.com/history.cfm

Your stove looks like a standard smooth (no ribs) pot belly stove. The finale on the top doesn't look like it goes with the stove. I have not seen on with a finale on it but that doesn't mean anything. :D It does give it kind of a classy look though.

Can you post some photo's of the internals along with the stove dimensions like height and diameter of the barrel at the grate??

Thank you for your reply. The stove is a little over 40 inches tall, It's a simple and plain stove. I agree with you about the finial. It doesn't quite sit square on top. But the stove does have a hole where it hooks into,,, just not this one.
The grate us 10.5 inch
I have included pictures with molded part numbers??

I know it's kinda ovious that the name is casted on the front. I was hoping to gleen some info on the shape and the part numbers.
It's short legs and plain look makes me think of a commercial or hidden in the basement stove.
The part numbers make me think of a store b ought stove. With a list of replacement parts.
Sears or monkey wards
I also wonder if it's missing it's dress parts and it's just naked.
Would love to see a picture of another like stove.
Thanks
