I'm pretty sure the cause was a loose belt which allowed it to hit the keeper rod causing the outside shredding of the belt. The new belt is installed and adjusted. The manual says to check the adjustment after 2 to 4 hours of use.

Snow in the midwest should remind all of us to get ready when it gets here,as it surely will. FF,don't strain yourself changing that belt or is everything back to good as new ??
