My buddy bought an old sears stove. We can't find a UL number so he can get a permit to install. Does anyone know where to find one for it. The model number is 591.841180. It was sold by sears. Any help.is appreciated.

I doubt it was UL listed as thats an older stove, made in the 50's or 60's??? Depending on whoever is issuing the permit, they may not give one for pre-ul. if the insurance company isnt worried about the install you may just be able to put it in, but thats your call. This is a common problem with old stove installs and has been discussed at GREAT length before on the forum. Just search for permit or insurance and you will likely find more info.
