Waking Ohio Up !

Waking Ohio Up !

PostBy: Hambden Bob On: Thu Nov 26, 2015 9:45 am

Greetings Buckeyes !

Your Ohio Moderator has let this spot lie fallow for way too long ! I've been thinking about how to best shake it awake. I think that starts with All of You ! I'd love to hear some Coal News from Our Southern Ohio Folks, and I'd love to start once again filling the void that runs Our Western border with Northern Kentucky,Indiana and Southern Michigan. You never really know what You're gonna hear from Toledo all the way down that I-75 Corridor ! As far as my neck of the Northeast Ohio end of things,We're holding Our own, quietly, minus any Fanfare. Just keepin' it going. I've got to admit that something's always going on Coal-Wise on Our Eastern Flank with Pennsylvania and them Natural,Genuine Good 'Ol Folks from the West Virginia ! Drop in,Drop a line, and let's get this Season started ! :dancing:

Oh,and as far as the rest of You Out Of State Critters go.....We adopt All ! You've always got a Home in Ohio ! Happy Thanksgiving and Good Days ahead !!

Signed: Your Perennial Bum Ohio Moderator,Hambden Bob ! :bag:

So I'm from a place far far away. ...the edge of the earth some say....but it's cold here as in many parts of our dwelling and coal is in control at its best in our homes! To all my Ohio brothers...stay warm and keep the fire going! BTW the only thing I know about Toledo is that of the infamous Clinger from m.a.s.h.!

Just came back from Ohio, the dogs had been trying to get a groundhog dug out so I dumped some ashes & have room for plenty more. Here's hoping for some rain & snow (not too much) for NE Ohio & NW Pa., been the warmest & driest start to winter since I moved here. JJ your not all that far from Conn. & this area was once part of the Western Reserve! ;)

Hey, I just fired up our SF 250 the other day (night time temp was 23 degrees) and the day temp got up to 30. I used a mixture of stove coal and nut coal. The stove was showing a temp of 500 degrees above the door. My house got to 78 degrees in no time! Damn, the house got too warm. I'm going to love when winter gets here!
