Not what I wanted to find after working a twelve hour shift at 5:30 am The ash grate slipped off the bearings that hold it up lucky the only thing that got ruined was the ash clean out door and a few cracks in the concrete I thought I would post this for other coal gun owners to look out for

Not good! How old is your Coal Gun?

What is the root cause? Rollers/track worn out? Was there any warning sign?

Moving this to AHS forum.

I was told that it is a 1978 model one of the bearings locked up which I think caused it to pull to one side I was surprised that it could slip out so easy I know the bearing locked up but you would have thought they would have had the bearings close enough that it couldn't have slipped out even with one locked up I put spacers behind them so it can't happen again I'm just glad it's in a shed would have been a mess if it was in the house
