My mica is starting to get a little rough on the middle window of the G6 . I would like to buy some back up mica as well as replace the mica in the center window. Can those of you who have dabbled with replacing your own mica give me some guidance on how to cut it properly and the best places to purchase from?

Years ago I read to cut it with scissors under water. Don't know how well that works.

Small world! Asheville Mica is located just 1.5 hours east of me here in VA what sizes did you order for the G6 William?

I ordered the pack of 3x5" sheets . Free shipping. Good place to deal with it looks like to me !

I just cut some of that brand for windows in the range.

Cuts very easily, leaving a nice clean edge. I used scissors that I'd just sharpened with a small mill file. ;)

sounds good to me! While the stove is down with these warm temps I wanted to get that middle window fixed.
