Daughter took a nice yearling doe this afternoon. Single shot in the boiler house.McGiever wrote:I almost went and beat on the door this am
Lucky I had brought a coffee with me, so I had mine on the porch by myself.
Really did have my coffee here on my covered deck at around 4:45 am...it was 54*!
Last day of the PA rifle deer season so this comes as I am strapped into a tree near 20' in the air.
My daughter is in her tree next to me.
She loves her deer hunting, in the 2 week season she only missed going out 2 days and she has a part time job too.
Oh, she likes venison jerky a lot too.

Morning everyone,
I spent the morning yesterday changing the oil in our cars. They really needed it; with my son home from his mission we are putting a lot of miles on both the car and the truck. He has a job driving the son of a family friend to his special ed program everyday. That's been a blessing as Kip has decided to go into the field of special education because of his experience with the young man. Before he was just sort of floating through school.
We are still way above average temperature wise. We are forecast to be at 75* today. I noticed that some of the azaleas are blooming out front. The Marks brothers are humming along with stove top temps of 125 - 150*. They are cool enough I can lay my hand on them and keep it there. I'm burning less then 20lbs daily in either of them so at this point it's worth keeping them going for the overnight heat we need. If I let them go out it would be 40lbs each to restart them and I'd have to shovel the old coalbed out. That's a waste of coal, too. I figure it's six of one and half a dozen of the other so I'll burn baby, burn.
We are on baby watch this week. My daughter has been told that Felicity Rae will be arriving in the very near future. I'm hoping for Tuesday night. I'm watching my 2 year old grandson for the time his parents are at the hospital. Anytime before Tuesday night and I'll have to go back to work for a few days before the Winter break that starts Saturday. That's not cool.
I hope everyone has a great week in the build up to the Holidays. Take care, Lisa
