Does anyone have any info. or history on Orange Disc Anthracite?

Thanks Jim

You are right Jack . That was the old Payne Coal Company out of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. They had their main office in the old Miners Bank building, downtown Wilkes-Barre.

They mixed the little orange cardboard discs in their loads as a marker, similar to when Blue Coal sprayed the tops of their rail cars.

Just old time advertising, at its best.
