Was Franklin D. Roosevelt a great Commander in Chief & I guess BHO could never be President? You are a piece of work.Devil5052 wrote:Then my opinion is that, since you have had no miltary or law enforcement experience or done anything dangerous at all in defense of your country that your pro-war arguments have the same weight as someone spouting off recomendations on heating with coal who has never even touched a coal stove but has just "seen" them in brochures.
I guess you missed it. LOOK UP.Devil5052 wrote:spc wrote:
In case you missed it (from an earlier edit) I'll post it again:

Even though the Vietnam War was over you still could have chosen to serve your country in the peacetime army or law enforcement or even the Peace Corps. Did you? (& if not, why not?)

SPC is right, this is exactly what they want the American public to do and I'm sure the media will add fuel to the fire and play it for all its worth with their gloom and doom... Months of success and not peep from them, some violence erupts and its going to be all over the news.

No but when you get little blip of violnece on the screen then put title like "Iraq Spinning Out Of Control....Again!" you're going overboard just as the media does. Then the American public sucks it up like sponge and turns mole hill into a mountain like you have done here. What are you going to say if this subsides in two days? Probably nothing just like the media.
YES. I don't know about you but paying taxes takes money & I don't have a tree for that growing in the back yard.Devil5052 wrote:spc wrote:Or, do you feel that simply paying taxes, which we all I required to do by law, sufficiently fullfills one's moral obligation to repay this country for all the benefits we have as citizens? A fair question, I think.
Look, all the news is pointing to an increase in violence in Iraq in the last few days.

That's cause that's all they will report.
Sorry but you have to give them credit, check that graph out. The last 5 months have been the best months there were since '03. They are also 5 of the lowest since this fiasco started, might one or two other prior months where it was lower. December is the second lowest out of all of them. If the numbers tripled next month they still wouldn't exceed that of April of last year. You simply can't say anything else except that what they are doing is succeeding at the moment.
