Just heard the Pentagon's figures (yesterday) that insurgent attacks are down to 200 per week.....DOWN TOO!!

By the way....for those of you who still believe anything this administration says, all insurgent attacks are Al Quieda & all attacks use munitions supplied by Iran. (I guess we can tell from the sound of the "Boom" they make!)

On a positive note for those of you without a defeatist attitude there hasn't been a hostile casualty since June 26, nearly two weeks ago.

Now that Iraq's freely elected Parliament and their freely elected Prime Minister (Maliki) have both asked us to leave, it kinda gives the lie to Bush's (& McCain's for that matter) reason for staying, doesn't it???

Its great to see that the Iraqi people have this positive attitude of taking their country back. And as for the "freely" elected Government, God bless President Bush & our brave men & women in uniform for making it happen.

So....Don't you think we should "listen" to what those elected Iraqi officials want? (What is it called again, when you have your unwelcome troops in another country???....You know, like when Saddam Hussein kept his unwelcome troops in Kuwait a few years back???.............Got it!!....Aggression!)

Sorry SPC, you're right-wing, Neo-con rhetoric wont work. Everyone knows that I am not disparaging our troops, they just follow orders. I do however, compare GW Bush with S. Hussein when you force your troops on a sovereign country that doesn't want them there, & the Iraqi's want us out.

I fail to see your point?? Fighting men, facing death every day, develop a commraderee (sp) towards their fellow GI's. That's who these men & women are supporting by re-enlisting........Not GW Bush or Dick Cheney or John McCain. Doesn't the fact that over 78% of the American electorate (& now the elected official of the Iraqi government) want our troops out of Iraq have any meaning to you guys? (John McCain himself, 2 years ago said that if the Iraqis asked us to leave, that we should leave.....Another flip/flop?)

The Iraqi's are in no position to be demanding anything from us. Although the WDM was never found let's not forget that they kicked out inspectors and did just about everything possible to make themselves suspicious. If the inspectors had been allowed to stay in Iraq and allowed to do what they wanted do you think we'd be in this position now? Iraq had no say in the matter then and has none now. That's the way it works when you get your ass handed to you.

Once a protracted peace has been established and Iraq proves they remain stable then withdrawals can begin. If things continue as they are now and a slow withdrawal of troops can occur over the next year or two there is absolutely no reason to rush it.

It wasn't the Iraqi people who did that...It was Saddam Hussein.

I'll make it clear to Devil, the Iraqi's or anyone else do not tell us what to do. We can make that decision for ourselves in our best interests.
