The back half of the farm is up to 40' of river bottom clay. It's a disgusting mess and more rain is expected. I drag the horse manure out there everyday and right now we go through 3' of mud. Nobody wants a repeat of last winter but can we please have a compromise. Thank God for my rubber tracked Bombardier. It was bought to battle snow and ice but it's a great mudmobile. My RC Garnet stove just sits there - it's a sad sight. It was 25* and windy yesterday so it was kinda winter for a day.

The memories of clearing snow & ice from my roofs, driveway & parking area every 2-3 days last Winter are still fresh. I'm in no rush to start again.

I am in no hurry for winter. The coal will not go bad or rot in anyway. If it sits there until next yer I am quite fine with that!.

It was 20 out earlier it is now 26 with a couple inches of snow. The sun is shining so it will melt. Not normal for NH this time of year. I remember when by this time we would have 3 of 4 feet of snow.

That was short lived for winter...all total we got about 6-8" of snow. Hard to tell because it was blowing around so much yesterday. It is 36℉ here now with the sun so the snow is already starting to melt.

Today it was 15°C rainy and a bit windy.
My coal usage is now 2 bags of 25 Kg a week for several weeks now.
I think I have enough coal for this winter. :)

Peter.
