Are you kidding....The jihadist's never had it so good!! GW is the best thing that ever happened to them!!!
(Suicide bomber recruitment is way up & our kids will be fighting the new generation of jihadists that GW has created for the rest of their lives!)

GW is providing all the incentives for them to keep blowing themselves & us up. Al Queda is stronger now than at any time since 9/11 by GW's own intelligence estimates.

I've seen Stockingfull suggest we take a different approach but I'm pretty sure neither he or anyone else I've seen suggesting that mention what this different approach might be... So what it this magical solution we keep hearing about?

1. Re-deploy out of the Iraq civil war immediately.
2. Reinforce out forces in Afghanistan to fight our real enemy.
3. Rebuild our forces & make it illegal for any armed service to buy any equipment that isn't made in USA
4. Use the billions of dollars saved on Bush''s family war to rebuild our infrastructure & create another WPA like FDR did to help us out of the Depression.
5. Nationalize the oil industry as a strategic necessity & make it accountable to the people. (controversial but required to save our economy)

Actually its very good point, what you have is occupation of Iraq. You have all these young people seeing Americans walking around in their country with uns and tanks. Then you the rdicals drilling it into their heads that we are the devil...

But again I don't see anyone post a good alternative, sorry Devil but your doesn't cut it. Simply leaving will just make the situation worse, its not going to help.

We simply disagree Richard. getting out of Iraq is the one thing we haven't tried & we either stay there getting killed, creating more enemies, putting an American "Devil" face on the killing, or we just get the hell out & fight our real enemies. Whenever we leave the Iraqis are going to continue killing each other so let's do it now!

Something doesn't make sense here. Does Al Queda really care what country we occupy? We occupy Afghanistan & I'm sure that helps Al Queda recruitment. Should Al Queda dictate where the USA thinks it should be strategically? NO

That still doesn't fix anything, if you pull out of Iraq it simply gets worse. Do you realize you are suggesting the very same thing that created the conditions for Al-Qaeda and the Taliban to flourish in Afghanistan? What's your plan once that happens in Iraq? It's inevitable that it will happen if we leave.

Al Queda was & is in Afghanistan & the tribal areas of Pakistan. They have a small presence in Iraq only because we are there, & it makes killing us very easy. Thus, Al Queda in Iraq is largely a Bush lie to make it appear that we are fighting our real enemy instead of being bogged down in an Iraqi civil war. You are obviously not smart enough to know when you've been lied to for the thousandth time, but you are fast becoming a Bush apologist minority.
