Hand Fed Coal Stove: Salvo Machinery Citation?

Post by manooti » Sun. Dec. 27, 2015 10:48 pm

Haha you guys are awesome. Blunt is good.

Cant slide a pipe on there because of the teeth. Its too short and pipe too thick. I think the easiest is going to be to get flat iron and bolt it in place of that. Ill lose 2 inches of grate but whatever. all that does is hold frame together. Ill ask the metal shop for scrap iron.

Other Heating: Wood fireplace insert

I'm currently disassembling (carefully) my Citation (Salvo Machinery) wood burning fireplace insert. We're converting our appliances to propane.

All the parts of the stove (doors & windows, grates, side panels, firebricks, etc.) are in excellent working condition and of good appearance.

Whoever wants to pick up the whole stove or individual parts, it's yours to take.

did you ever find a manual for your stove? I would love a copy if you did
Did you get her working? Still using it?

no never did. it worked ok but never lasted long enough. the new stove I got lasts over double the time this one did with wood. coal probably would of lasted longer but I was new and it gave off too much heat. would of been a lot easier with the manual.
