I just saw this article. Kind of neat knowing they all went down the shaft singing Tom Jones's "'My, my, my, Delilah" for the last shift.

It's always sad when more than a business but a way of life comes to a close. Been there & it isn't any fun.

they all went down the shaft singing Tom Jones's "'My, my, my, Delilah"
I think they should have been singing "it's not unusual".

Does any significant amount of Anthracite get used for home heat in Britian (if it's not already outlawed) and where does it come from?

My British neighbor tells me that they mainly burn coke. I believe jpete burned some coke last season, and perhaps he can tell us how that went.
